As it turns out, life is a hustler's game. The winners are the best salesman, those who can best promote themselves. It comes down to survival: "How can I live to a ripe old age in a comfortable home?"
Some people find their niche, and do well. Some don't make it. Most live a meager life. Finding our place, as it turns out, is our real life purpose. It's nothing more than a re-written survivalist's dictum: fake it till you make it, then contribute to our own success till we've amassed as many "points" as we can to look - and be - successful.
Such is life as we know it. For now anyway...
