Book Review: Science and the Akashic Field

I'm going to deviate from the usual books I review, and offer my observations on a seminal work by a world-prominent philosopher of science. This dude, named Ervin Laszo, is a prolific writer of deeply insightful and detailed scientific/spiritual perspectives of human consciousness, evolution, and, well - everything.

As someone with a more than passing interest in spiritual things, personality theory, and other things that eventually help us understand who we are in this huge universe, AND... a science nerd, I found that the marriage of science and spiritualism has found a home in the writings, research, insights, and encompassing theories of Ervin Laszo's book "Science and the Akashic Field".

In case you haven't been keeping up, Newtonian physics (the stuff you learned in high school) has given way to a new way of understanding the world as we know it. Introduce quantum physics. Without boring you with detailed explanations of how the world-as-we-know-it was turned upside down, suffice to say that many unexplained - yet VERY well documented - metaphysical and spiritual phenomena now have logical and understandable explanations. No, there's no God. But guess what: there's now an explanation for DNA, memory, reincarnation, near-death experience, spontaneous healing - the list goes on.

For instance, something called "non-local coherence", a well understood principle in quantum physics, turns out to be the explanation behind things like distance healing, thought transference, and various other "unexplainable" coincidences that traverse vast distances... we've all heard of them, and some of us have experienced them first hand.

So, for you science nerds who have a spiritual bent, and you spiritual people with a science bent, I strongly suggest you look into the writings of this gentleman.

Ooh my head hurts... I believe that... hm... I believe I'll have a Martini now.
